With a background in antiques, decorative textiles and an art school training, Mary Pytel had always had an ambition to open her own interior design business. In 1987 this dream became reality when she found a large derelict property overlooking the river Wye in Hereford which needed complete renovation.
Two years later Wyebridge house had been transformed into five stylish apartments and retail premises, which quickly became Herefords leading interior design showroom.
Her daughter Catharine joined her in business and together they soon made a name for designing unique homes and apartments for numerous clients. Including foreign royalty, both locally and further afield.
In 1997, Mary branched out opening another shop in the thriving market town of Ledbury which later moved to more prestigious premises in the High Street.
Wyebridge 2 is now a successful home interiors, accessories and gift shop, offering a sophisticated blend of unusual artefacts sourced worldwide and attracting a wide range of customers and clients from many parts of the country.Through WB2 we source both contemporary and traditional style furnishings with which we enhance our interiors.
In 2002 after many years of severe flooding the interior design business moved from Hereford to restored barns overlooking the lakes near Ross on Wye, providing a "dry base" for a rapidly expanding successful interior design practice
Creativity being the central driving force behind the company proved effective as an ethos.
